Love of space exploration (and class credit) compelled Yaakov to create this paper on the James Webb Space Telescope. It explores the functional structure and system relationships within the spacecraft, a history of key tradeoffs made throughout the design life, and the realities faced when multiple stakeholders are involved in a complex system of systems.
Yaakov created a thermal control relay interface to perform Thermal and Vacuum testing at CubeSat. It has supported many tests and flight qualifications for CubeSats and P-PODs that currently orbit Earth! Yaakov wrote a paper detailing the Systems Engineering involved in creating this hardware. Currently, Yaakov is working to downscale these thermal control techniques to convert a low-cost toaster oven into a 3D printer filament drying and annealing apparatus. More details to come!
